Sago noodles are a typical culinary delicacy in Riau Province, Indonesia. Sago Noodles already exist and have become a staple that has been in demand by local communities since the days of our ancestors to this day. This Sago noodle is made from sago flour which is processed from the sago tree stem, which is widely grown in this area both wildly and cultivated on smallholder plantations. Sago noodles have a different thickness from flour-based noodles. Sago noodles are authentic Indonesian food because these sago trees are only found in Indonesia, such as Maluku, Irian Jaya (Papua), and Riau. But the area that really makes this sago as Mie is by the people of Riau and its surroundings.
